Our Gym

CrossFit Habitat, established in 2020, was created by Lauren and her partner, Scott. Lauren wanted to create a place where people can train in a friendly group environment, with a great atmosphere, quality coaching and quality programming for all abilities.

Lauren also wanted to provide a perfect place to offer Personal Training for her one-to-one clients. Previously, Lauren has attended and worked in many gyms in the past, and has gained over the years the vision, drive and passion to make it the best it can possibly be, for both the members and coaches.

We are not just a gym, we are a place to socialise with friends, meet new people, have fun and be a part of a fantastic fitness community.

We welcome people of all abilities, and encourage you to try something new if you’ve never tried Functional Fitness before!

MEET our COACHES

LAUREN

Lauren, Owner and Founded CrossFit Habitat in 2020.. Lauren has a passion for CrossFit and loves to help those looking to take their training to the next level! Lauren is always looking for her next challenge in a team based CrossFit competition!

Lauren has been working with PT clients since 2016, and worked in many Gym’s around the Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire area. From experience training and working in many Gym’s, Lauren was keen to set up her own Gym and make it the best possible place to come and train in for all walks of life. She has a passion about Nutrition, Gymnastics and is a Level 1 British Weightlifting Coach and Level 3 PT. She also studied at Uni where she completed a Degree in Medical Nutrition and Sports Massage. Since Uni, she moved to a new area became PT Qualified, since then she has never looked back!

LEIGHTON

Leighton, British Weightlifting Level 2 Qualified, GMB Gymnastics, CrossFit Gymnastics, and all over knowledgable. His passion is Coaching Olympic Lifting, but also loves his strict gymnastics too.

Over the last few years, Leighton has competed in both CrossFit and Weightlifting competitions, but now enjoys keeping strong, fit and healthy whilst also still learning new things.

Leighton also has an interest on climbing, and is a qualified climbing instructor. His mobility workis important to him too, as we all know, when you get older we get more prone to injuries, so staying mobile is a must, both inside the gym and out.

SHANE

Shane has been in the military as a Physical Training Instructor for over 15 years which was perfect fit allowing him to continue his passion for sports and fitness. Growing up he competed in many sports at county level and martial arts to national and International level.

Through his time in the military, he found a more functional way of training and found CrossFit. To fulfil his competitive edge he competed in competitions for many years but has now changed his focus to maintaining health and fitness with his busy lifestyle and young family.

Shane’s main passion now is enjoying training, and coaching others, and seeing them develop to achieve their goals.

Stu

Meet Stu, one of the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet!

Stu has always been active and enjoyed playing sports. From his teenage years he played Ice Hockey, and later in his playing career began coaching various youth teams in Oxford along with becoming head coach of a ladies team.

Stu began CrossFit in 2020, without knowing much about it or any of the movements, but with the guidance of my coaches, quickly fell in love with it. CrossFit and his coaches has truly transformed his life.

As a Coach, his goal is to provide sessions that are both informative and enjoyable for members. Being passionate about helping others and sharing his love for CrossFit allows him to be a brilliant Coach; with the hope that CrossFit will have a life-changing impact on members, just as it did for Stu.
